Position Overview

The Laundry Attendant at The Laurel Hotel plays an essential role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation that define the Danville Hotel Collection. This position is responsible for processing all hotel linens and terry, ensuring timely turnaround, quality control, and proper inventory levels. The Laundry Attendant may also support the housekeeping team with room assignments and public area tasks as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry Operations

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize all hotel linen and terry according to property standards.

• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

• Inspect linens and terry for stains, tears, or defects; treat or report damaged items as appropriate.

• Maintain clean and orderly laundry room, ensuring equipment and supplies are stored properly.

• Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures.

• Track par levels and communicate shortages or equipment issues to the Housekeeping Manager.

• Assist with inventory counts for linen and terry.

Housekeeping Support

• Provide assistance to the housekeeping team during high occupancy or staffing needs.

• Deliver clean linen and terry to floors or storage areas as needed.

• Assist with room refreshes, stay over cleaning, or other housekeeping tasks when assigned.

• Support cleanliness of public areas.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required (training provided).

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs for entire shift. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to maintain a fast pace while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Work Environment

• Full-time position; schedule includes weekends and holidays based on business needs.

• Work performed in laundry facility and hotel guest room areas of brand new property, The Laurel Hotel, opening in January 2026.
